Sunday 1st November Handmade on the South Coast

Steven moved to Bemboka NSW from Adelaide in October 2024, after 30yrs manufacturing for Hills Industry, it was a time in his life for a new and more creative direction.

Drawing on a lifelong fascination with metal-working, he now finds joy in creating sculptures of the flora and fauna found on the NSW South Coast from surf to snow.
Hand made locally in Bemboka, New South Wales, these pieces are designed to withstand the rigors of the Australian outdoors.
Using a mix of metalworking techniques Steven spends his days sculpting, constantly drawing inspiration from this amazing part of Australia and challenging himself to create new and exciting pieces.
Each piece tells a story that will inspire and delight you, reflecting the spirit of South Coast wildlife steel craftsmanship.

This year, Toni will be presenting 'The Looking Glass Bookshop,' an online bookshop based near Candelo that showcases South Coast books. This artisan craft fair will feature not only Toni's books but also those of her partner, Clinton, both of whom have new children's books to discover.
The bookshop will stock new releases, curated second-hand books, and a selection of children's books that highlight exceptional illustration work, particularly from Australian artists. Alongside the existing seven books, there will be three new titles in progress, and advance orders will be taken at the Handmade on the South Coast.
'Into the Penumbra' reads as the third and final book of the hand painted Mel Maze graphic novel trilogy for ages 9-18+. The trilogy includes the first two books, 'Where iz Dorothy Oz?' and 'The Shimmer Zone'. They are perfect for readers looking for sci-fi adventure.

'Manor Dangerous': A gripping psychological and supernatural adult thriller set in a fictional manor house on Gabo Island in Bass Strait. Written by Asta Kneen, this work showcases Toni's pseudonym for the adult market.
' Once upon a Whale' A captivating fact and fiction chapter book for ages 12+, authored by Clinton Starr and illustrated by Toni Cary. This story explores the greatest mammalian migration on Earth, as the southern whales journey to the South Coast of NSW and Victoria, turning either directly west or directly north.
If you're interested in artisan craft fairs, this book is a great addition to your collection, highlighting the beauty of our natural world.
